A fellow from Kashmir, Syed Wasim Shah after seeing the trend of igloo cafes in Switzerland, thought of making it possible in the valley. Thus, was born the world’s largest igloo cafe standing in the snow at Gulmarg in 2022. This igloo attracted tons of tourists who wanted to see this marvel with their naked eyes. The desire of creating ice sculptures also became stronger among the artists after this breakthrough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another marvel, created at Gulmarg in 2022 by the owners of the hotel namely, Hotel Grand Mumtaz happens to be the snow Taj Mahal. Without thinking much, the team started to build a replica of the Taj Mahal and successfully completed it in 17 days. This amazing structure was a sight that looked very similar to the original Taj Mahal. This marvel attracted thousands of tourists to visit the spot and witness this Gulmarg ice sculpturing edifice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gulmarg Winter Carnival<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Every year, a winter carnival, held in Gulmarg focuses on boosting tourism and bringing together all the fun stuff in one place. Competitions, races and activities of skiing, sledging, hot air ballooning and more are held with a cultural blend.
