Burn Test: <\/strong>You can use a burn test to detect whether a carpet is a cotton or silk. When you burn a small piece of silk, it will smell like burning hair, and the ashes will be crispy. However, burning cotton will produce a fragrance similar to burning paper, and the ashes will be soft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
