The famous trek to Kolahoi Glacier begins from the Aru Valley in the Anantnag district, a-half-an-hour drive from Pahalgam. The Glacier powers the mighty rivers of Jhelum and Lidder, which is why locals revered it as the “Goddess of Light.” Moreover, the trek route houses numerous alpine lakes, even more than Kashmir Great Lakes Trek. The route to the twin lakes goes through Lidderwat Valley, which will require you to cover a 9 km journey from Aru Valley.
